During his more than 25-year career as an attorney, Arturo has represented local and foreign clients in a wide range of domestic and international corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and sales of companies, as well as capital investment projects. He has also advised clients in connection with the structuring, formation and operation of joint ventures and other partnership and investment vehicles for various business purposes. Arturo has extensive experience in the negotiation of strategic contracts in diverse industries, including purchase and sale, supply, distribution, services, technical assistance, licensing and franchising agreements.
In addition, he frequently advises clients in connection with digital and electronic transactions, including financial transactions and payment services. Among the clients he regularly advises are foreign companies with operations in Mexico, companies within the transformation industry, companies within the information technology sector, software and electronic media transactions, as well as family businesses. Also, as part of CEM Abogados mission, Arturo collaborates with various non-profit organizations, including civil associations and private charities.
Before joining CEM Abogados in 2012, Arturo was a Legal Manager at Grupo Vitro, where he worked for more than 10 years. He was also a foreign associate at Cravath, Swaine and Moore LLP in New York City (2003-2004).
He holds a law degree with honors from Tec de Monterrey and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was awarded the Curtiss J. Brown University of Texas – Mexico Endowed Presidential Scholarship for academic merit. He was also admitted to the New York State Bar.
