Luis Gerardo has more than 30 years of experience in the banking and financial industry, 20 of which were at Banorte, where he served as Corporate Legal Director, Executive Fiduciary Director and Prosecretary of the Board of Directors of this bank. He is a Professor at the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey, teaching Commercial Law, Banking Law and Mergers and Acquisitions.

Luis Gerardo has a law degree from the University of Monterrey (UDEM) and has completed several academic programs such as the Diploma in Banking at Louisiana State University, the Comparative Law Program at St. Mary’s University and the D1 Business Management Program at IPADE.

He has a deep knowledge of the financial sector and its regulation, being an advisor to several financial institutions and other companies within the financial services sector in areas such as corporate governance, regulation, control and evaluation of legal risk and structuring of financing and investment projects. Additionally, he has recognized experience in the fiduciary sector, regularly advising clients in the design and implementation of trusts for various purposes, including management trusts, guarantee trusts, share control trusts, estate planning vehicles and other sophisticated fiduciary schemes.

In addition, he frequently represents financial institutions in financing schemes, as well as in the structuring of associative schemes in the construction industry and commercial and industrial real estate development.
